KIMI PIDE PERDON



LONDON (espnstar.com) - McLaren's Kimi Raikkonen has apologised after a series of photographs of him looking slightly worse for wear after a heavy drinking session in Gran Canaria appeared in the German press. The weekly magazine Bild pictured the Finnish star in a variety of embarrassing situations under the headline "Is he drinking away his career?"

Raikkonen was photographed gyrating with a singer in a nightclub, having to be propped up by a fellow reveller and finally collapsing in a heap on the street.

Asked for his reaction to the incident, Raikkonen told a Finnish newspaper: "I must say sorry!"

However, the 25-year-old was also angry at the way his private life had been invaded by the media.

"I was drunk all right? I had a few drinks and danced - why shouldn't I? Everyone relaxes in different ways. Sometimes I wish I were just a normal chap."

German television pundit and a former double Le Mans winner Hans-Joachim Stuck ? son of the late Hans Stuck - has slammed Raikkonen's antics, claiming the flying Finn was a role model and could not behave in such a bawdy manner.

"A Formula 1 driver cannot drink publicly in such a way. Raikkonen is a role model for millions of children and young people."

Hans Joachim Stuck (doble campeon de Le Mans y comentarista de f1 de la tele alemana): "Un piloto de f1 no puede beber publicamente de esa manera. Raikkonen es un modelo para millones de niños y jovenes".

Yo digo: que haga lo que le de la gana mientras no se meta un josconcio como el que se metio en un yate en monaco por estar borrachuzo. Se podria haber lesionado y haber dejado colgado a mclaren... Se podria haber partido el cuello perfectamente.

Respecto a lo de dar ejemplo a los niños... no tiene ninguna obligacion de dar ejemplo. Eso depende de cada uno.
