CRB says Glock free to race for Toyota

Timo Glock looks set to land a racing seat at the Toyota team next season after the Contract Recognition Board ruled the German is free to race for the Japanese squad, autosport.com has learned.

GP2 champion Glock is believed to have agreed a deal with Toyota for 2008, but a conflict was found with some of the conditions detailed in his current contract at BMW Sauber.

The matter was sent to the CRB to be decided, and autosport.com understands the body has ruled that Glock is free to race for Toyota in 2008.

The Cologne-based team are yet to announce the deal officially.
The news means that BMW Sauber will need to find a new test driver for 2008. Several drivers have been linked with the role, including Marko Asmer, Adam Carroll, Christian Vietoris and Nico Hulkenberg.
